This mould allows the X500 model to be converted with a separate lift motor, the Duct is mounted directly onto the Deck roughly in the center.
See Shane's Shed to view X500 separate lift conversion at the link below
https://shaneshed.com/2019/02/22/x500-independent-lift-conversion/
A small brushless motor to drive a 3" propeller and a suitable 10 to 20 Amp ESC will be required
Additionally the transmitter needs to be a minimum of 3 channels for 1) Thrust ESC (Reversible if required), 2) Rudder, 3) Lift ESC
The Duct is supplied with a wooden strip which is used to mount the motor within the Duct
The existing rear Duct mount will need to be modified as per the first picture to allow thrust air to flow through, and the rectangular hole in the Deck will need to be blocked off, and finally the Cabin inner rib will require trimming to allow the Cabin to fit the Deck. If the Cabin id fitted then drill holes at rear of Cabin rib to allow air to transfer to the lift fan
May be supplied in either Black or White depending on part / material availability
